About Us

Faith Music Missions was founded in 1979 right here in Evansville, Indiana, by Pastor Gayle Russ to provide heartwarming, uplifting music to Christian homes that feeds the Spirit of God within the believer. For many years, Faith Music Missions has ministered to hundreds of churches nationally. Each year, church groups come from dozens of states to record their music through this ministry. Faith Broadcasting was created to spread the music of Faith Music Missions through the medium of radio around the world. Locally, Faith Music Missions ministers to the community through WGAB 1180 AM (Evansville/Newburgh, IN) and WMTA 1380 AM (Central City, KY). Using the tools of the Internet and radio streaming, Faith Broadcasting enjoys a global reach not possible with towers alone. Both Faith Music Missions and Faith Broadcasting are ministries of Boeke Road Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana.

Summary of Position

This position is a new role that has previously operated as a collaborative effort through existing staff. The objective of this position is to promote growth of the radio station in programming, audience, donors and underwriting. The primary focus of this position will be to substantiality increase the operations of the station.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for on-air scheduling
• Responsible for creating drive-time and weekend programming
• Receive and/or create underwriting announcements for underwriters and/or sponsors
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of radio-related fundraising
• Manage volunteers, on-air personalities, and guest relations
• Constantly strive to improve the quality of broadcasting
• Manage, Cultivate and Develop Donor and Underwriting base
• Oversee engineering team to make sure maintenance requirements are up-to-date
• Coordinate with legal and regulatory personnel to maintain FCC compliance
• Seek to integrate and cross promote the station with the other ministries under Boeke Road Baptist Church, including other local efforts
• Organize and coordinate advertising and marketing efforts for the station
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Requirements

• Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to adhere to a tight, deadline-driven schedule
• Meticulous attention to detail in a fast paced environment
• Non-profit donor/underwriter cultivation experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with our sponsors and underwriters
• Flexibility and ability to succeed in a team-oriented working environment
• Ability to be a self-motivated and project focused leader
• Previous experience working in radio preferred
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and the OS X platform required
• Knowledge of database structure/management and other IT skills preferred
• Ability to work with and maintain a website preferred
• Some evening and weekend work may be required
